Don’t be intimdated by another kitchen gadget. The Air Fryer is practically fool proof and an asset to any kitchen. Honestly, get rid of every other kitchen gadget because the Air Fryer can probably do it better.
These Lemon Pepper Wings only need 5 ingredients. I love simple recipes and to me simple means fewer ingredients. Especially on a busy weeknight. Here is your reminder that you do not need a lot of ingredients or a lot of seasonings for something to taste delicious.
Secret Ingredient to Crispy Wings
Do you know what the secret ingredient to crispy wings is?! Drum roll please…. It’s baking powder! Sounds weird but it’s true. Add just a little bit to guarantee crispy skin on your wings.
The next important ingredient to these wings is the Lemon Pepper Seasoning. I used King Fords Lemon Pepper seasoning. It is so flavorful on its own. Trust me, you dont need anything else. I did add a little salt with the baking powder but it’s not really necessary.
You can leave your wings whole or you can cut the tips off. To save some time you can buy wings that are already separated for you. But you can easily cut them yourself in just two places too.
How to Air Fry Lemon Pepper Wings
Place your wings in the air fryer in a single layer. You may have to cook them in batches depending on how big your air fryer is. Then set your Air Fryer to 400 and cook for 22 minutes. Flip them at the half way point using tongs.
It’s so simple to use the Air Fryer even your husband can do it đ Every Air Fryer is a little different but the good thing is you don’t have to be scared about opening it like with an oven. In fact it’s encouraged to open it every so often to check on your food.
I am attaching a link to the Ninja Air Fryer I have here in case you need a recommendation. I love it and think it’s great for beginners! There are a ton of other Air Fryer options as well, the point is to just get one!
