These Copy Cat PF Chang Lettuce Wraps are a healthier alternative to traditional wraps. Instead of using carb-heavy tortillas, you’re using lettuce leaves to wrap up the filling. This means you’re getting all the delicious flavors and textures of a wrap, but without the excess carbs and calories. Making it a great option for anyone who wants to eat healthier.
These lettuce wraps are also very customizable. If you’re not a fan of ground chicken you can easily swap it out for ground turkey or even tofu for a vegetarian option. You can also add in other vegetables like bell peppers, water chestnuts, or mushrooms to add more flavor.
Ingredients for Copy Cat PF Chang Lettuce Wraps
- 1 lb of Ground Chicken or Turkey
- 2 Tbsp of Coconut Amino or Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
- 1/3 Cup Onion Diced
- 1 Tsp Garlic Minced
- Butter Lettuce – these leaves are great fro wraps
- Sriracha if you like spice
- Cashews Crushed for topping (optional)
Directions
1. Heat olive oil in pan then add onion and garlic. Cook on low for 2-3 min. Then add ground meat and season with salt.
2. Break up and brown the meat on medium heat. This only takes about 5 minutes.
3. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and hoisin sauce to the meat. Mix together and heat for another 5 min.
4. Rinse butter lettuce and use as a base for your filling. Top with cashews and sriracha!
5. Enjoy!
