Watermelon Season

I love Summer so when watermelons start popping up I know it is almost here! In the United States, watermelon season begins around late spring and extends through the summer months, with peak availability in June, July, and August.

Large watermelons are usually around $5 and can feed a lot of people. Making it perfect to bring to any summer BBQ. I’ve even seen yellow and orange watermelons too if you want to try something new!

How to cut Watermelon into Fries

There are a variety of different ways to cut a watermelon. Here are two of the easiest ways I found. I like to either cut the watermelon into triangles or watermelon fries. Watermelon fries are the easiest way in my opinion.

All you have to do is cut the watermelon in half then take one half and make long cuts going one direction that are about 2 inches wide. Turn that half and make long cuts going the opposite direction and that’s it! Place them in a cup for easy snacking or in a large container and store. Watch my videos that show you how to do it. If you try it let me know on social media! Enjoy!

If you are looking for a great sharp knife that will last a life time. I love this Japanese Chef Knife. It is super sharp and the only knife you will ever need!
