Easy Coquito

Let me show a really easy Coquito Recipe. Coquito in Spanish means little coconut. It is a Puerto Rican cocktail made with rum, cream of coconut, evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Other Latin cultures have a version as well. You can drink it year round but it’s typically served during the Holidays. Coquito has a sweet coconut flavor and a touch of alcohol. Making it a party favorite! My family makes it every Christmas and now yours can too! A bottle of Coquito also makes a great gift so grab extra ingredients!

The Perfect Holiday Drink

Coquito is usually served during Thanksgiving and Christmas time but of course you can make it year round. It’s a recipe my family looks forward to all year! Whether you are planning a cozy evening at home or attending a Family Christmas Party, Coquito is sure to be a hit! This drink is served chilled and usually in a small glass. You can take it as a shot or sip on it slowly. Garish with a cinnamon stick or rim the glass with cinnamon and sugar. There are so many ways to make Coquito. Some recipes call for egg yolks. My sister usually adds 2-3 yolks to the blender to make it creamier and a shot of brandy for an extra kick!

How to make Coquito

Grab your ingredients and your blender and that’s about it! Combine everything and blend for about 2 minutes. Store the Coquito in a glass container like an empty Bacardi bottle or I bought these glass containers on Amazon that also worked out well. It made a great gift for a holiday party too. Add a cinnamon stick to the bottle for extra flavor. Let it chill for at least 4 hours before serving. Coquito is so rich in flavor, a small amount goes a long way!
