This Weight Loss Cabbage Soup is low in carbs and calories making it the perfect recipe to kick start your diet. Even if you’re not on a diet you will love this soup because it’s so hearty and soothing to eat. Making this recipe is also a great way to clear out your refrigerator before all your vegetables go bad! Cabbage Soup is super customizable. You can swap out any veggie you want especially if it means you’ll actually eat it! I’ve tried a few different combinations but this one is my favorite.
Meal Prepping Cabbage Soup
I make this Cabbage Soup every time I need a little detox. I always feel a lot lighter and less bloated after eating this as a meal prep for the week. I usually drop a few pounds as well. It’s filled with healthy ingredients that make you feel amazing! Remember when you eat good you feel good! I make this year round but especially in the beginning of a New Year to start my year off right.
Cabbage Soup Diet
The Cabbage Soup Diet is a thing that’s been around for a long time. There is a ton of information on it on Pinterest but basically all you eat is cabbage soup for an entire week! You throw in some fruit and protein here and there but for the most part you eat cabbage soup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each serving is low in calorie but very filling.
I can’t eat this soup for every meal but I can do it once or twice a day for the week. I still see results by doing it this way. Some people have said they have lost up to 10 pounds in a week! Obviously, that weight probably won’t stay off for too long but it is a nice reset button and a great way to get some veggies in your diet.
Cabbage Soup in the Crock-Pot
You can easily make this recipe on the stove top but I love a hands off approach so I make it in the Crockpot. Making anything in the Crockpot is really easy but especially this soup. The hardest part about this recipe is chopping up the vegetables but they have tools you can use for that too! Like this vegetable chopper on Amazon. It is a time saver!
To make this soup you basically just dump everything in the crockpot and cook it on either high or low. I usually set it on high for 4 hours to make sure the vegetables are nice and soft. If you like your vegetables more crisp cook it for 3 hours. If you do not have a Crockpot yet here is a link for one to get started with! It will last a lifetime.
